One of my absolute favourite dish. The sweet and sour chicken with a little bit of twist of Malaysian.

Steps

Step 1

1. Put the diced chicken into a bowl, marinate with soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil and pepper. Set it aside for 20minutes. Then dredge the chicken into the corn-starch and try to separate the chicken pieces, make sure every pieces are coat with the flour. Toss the excess flour out before fry.

Step 2

2. Heat the vegetable oil into about 180 degree, then put in the flour coated chicken pieces and deep fry for 4 to 5 minutes, until its turn golden brown, remove it from the oil and transfer to a paper towel to drained off the oil.

Step 3

3. Put the tomato ketchup, plum sauce, sugar, lemon juice, salt and water into a large saucepan, mixed well, keep on stir it and bring it to boil, until it turn slightly thick.

Step 4

4. Pour the vegetables into the sauce and bring it to boil for about 1 minutes and then add in the fried chicken pieces. Toss well to combine everything together for about 2 to 3 minutes. Transfer it into serving plate. It goes well with boiled rice, fried rice or noodles.
