Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk collectively 1/4 cup of milk and the cornstarch until easy to create a slurry. Set apart.

Step 2

In a saucepan, heat the final milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not allow it to boil.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk collectively the egg yolks and sweetener till nicely mixed.

Step 4

Slowly pour the recent milk into the egg yolk mixer while whisking constantly to temper the eggs. Return the mixture to the pot and stir it into the cornflour slurry.

Step 5

Cook the custard over medium-low warmth, stirring continuously, till it thickens to the favored consistency, generally about 5-7 mins. Remove the custard from the heat and stir the vanilla extract.

Step 6

Let the custard cool before serving, or refrigerate until ready to serve. You can also add berries(raspberries) or fruits on top to garnish and make the dish more colorful and enticing.
