Shrimp Scampi with Linguine is a classic Italian-American dish that combines juicy shrimp with garlic butter sauce and linguine pasta. Step 1

Cook the linguine: Bring a big pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine noodles to the boiling water and let them boil to a certain point. After cooking is done, drain the water from the pasta and set aside.

Prepare the shrimp: While the pasta is cooking, put together the shrimp. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a massive skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté until aromatic, approximately 1 minute.

Step 3

Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and season with salt, black pepper, and crushed pink pepper flakes (optional). Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes or until crimson. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set apart.

Step 4

Prepare the sauce: In the same saucepan, add 2 tablespoons of butter and white wine (optional). Cook for 1-2 minutes, scraping any browned bits from the lowest of the pan. Stir inside the freshly squeezed lemon juice and prepare the dish for another 1-2 mins.

Step 5

Mix the pasta and sauce: Add the cooked linguine pasta to the pot with the sauce and mix until calmly covered. Return the cooked shrimp to the pot and mix with the pasta and sauce.

Step 6

Servings: Arrange the shrimp scampi and linguine on a plate or platter. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and grated Parmesan (optional). Serve right away.
