Steps

Step 1

Preparing the tuna steak: Season both sides of the tuna steak with salt and pepper. Place sesame seeds on a plate and press both sides of the tuna steak onto the sesame seeds to coat lightly.

Cook the tuna steak: Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. When the oil is warm, add the tuna steaks to the skillet and cook dish for 1-2 minutes, or till the sesame seeds are golden brown and the tuna is cooked to the extent of your liking.

Remove the tuna steak from the pan and permit it to relax while you put together the soba.

Cook the soba noodles: Cook the soba noodles according to the instructions mentioned on the packet Drain the soba noodles and rinse under water. Set aside.

Prepare the sauce: Make the sauce by combining soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey or maple syrup, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger in a small bowl.

Step 6

Assemble the dish: In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled soba noodles and broth and stir till evenly coated. Place the soba noodles on plates and place the sesame-fried tuna steak on top. Garnish with onion slices and extra sesame seeds, if desired.
