Steps

Step 1

Arrange a bacon slice and cover it with a slice of Swiss cheese. Scatter the sauerkraut on top of the cheese. Arrange the sausage or bratwurst on one end of the bacon slice. To keep the bacon from unravelling, tightly roll it around the sausage, cheese and sauerkraut, then fasten it with toothpicks.

Step 2

Place the bratwurst rolls with bacon in a skillet and heat it to medium. Cook, rotating the rolls once or twice, until the bacon is crispy and the bratwurst is cooked through, ten to fifteen minutes entire duration of cooking. Cook them until each part is cooked through. After taking the bacon rolls out of the skillet, let them a minute to rest. Take the toothpicks out of the rolls very carefully.

Step 3

Garnish the warm bacon buns and sauerkraut with a dab of flavorful yellow mustard.You can eat them by themselves or pair them with your preferred side dishes, such as coleslaw or potato salad.
