Steps

Step 1

Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, minced garlic, ground cumin, and chilli powder. Add a bit of oil in a skillet or pan over medium heat and cook the seasoned chicken until it's no longer pink and cooked through (usually about 6-8 minutes per side). Once the chicken is cooked, slice it with two forks or cut it into thin strips. Pour the salsa verde over the shredded chicken and simmer for a few minutes until it's warmed through and well-coated.

Step 2

While the chicken is simmering, prepare your toppings. Dice the tomatoes and red onion, and shred the lettuce. Grate the cheese, and have sour cream or Greek yoghurt, cilantro leaves, and lime wedges ready for garnishing.

Step 3

Heat the taco-sized tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until they're flexible. Spoon the Salsa Verde Chicken onto each tortilla. Add your desired toppings - lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, sliced cheese, a dollop of sour cream or Greek yoghurt, and a sprinkling of fresh cilantro.

Step 4

Serve the Salsa Verde Chicken Tacos with lime wedges on the side. Enjoy your tasty and customizable tacos!
