Step 1

Prepare the grapefruit juice: Cut the pink grapefruit in 1/2 and squeeze by using your hands or a citrus juicer or grater. Strain the grapefruit juice with a quality sieve to remove the pulp and seeds.

Step 2

Make the easy syrup: Combine granulated sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat the blend over medium flame, stirring from time to time, till the sugar is dissolved. This makes a simple syrup.

Step 3

Combine substances: In a huge mixing bowl, combine sparkling pink grapefruit juice and syrup. If you want, add lemon juice to make it even more tasty. Cool the mixture.

Step 4

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place the mixture inside the fridge until absolutely cool, at least 1-2 hours.

Step 5

Freeze the sorbet: Once the combination has cooled, pour it into the bowl of your ice cream maker. Stir the sorbet in step with the producer's commands till it reaches a thick, creamy consistency, usually about 20-25 minutes.

Step 6

Transfer and freeze: Transfer the stirred sorbet to a freezer-secure container. Cover the container with a lid or plastic wrap and freeze the sorbet for a further 4-6 hours or until solid.

Step 7

Servings: Pour the pink grapefruit sorbet into a bowl. Garnish with fresh mint leaves or pink grapefruit slices, if desired. Enjoy the clean sourness of our homemade purple grapefruit sorbet!
