Miso-glazed salmon Skewers are a lovely combination of sweet and savoury flavours, featuring delicate salmon cubes painted with a rich and tasty miso glaze. It takes little time to prepare and produces a flavorful, elegant meal when grilled or broiled.

Step 1

In a bowl, whisk together the white miso paste, sesame oil, mirin, soy sauce, honey or brown sugar, minced ginger, and minced garlic. This is going to be your tasty finish.

Step 2

Cut the salmon fillets into 1-inch cubes. Place the salmon cubes in a shallow dish and pour the miso glaze over them. Ensure each piece is well covered. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the salmon to marinate.

Step 3

Preheat your grill or broiler. Thread the marinated salmon cubes onto the soaked wooden skewers.

Step 4

Grill the salmon skewers over medium-high heat for 3-4 minutes per side or until the salmon is cooked and the ice caramelizes a little. Alternatively, you can simultaneously broil them in the oven on a lined baking sheet.

Step 5

Remove the skewers from the grill or broiler. Add sliced green onions and sesame seeds as garnish. Serve the Miso-Glazed Salmon Skewers with cooked rice or steamed vegetables, if desired.
