Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush one side with olive oil. Toast them in the oven for about 5 minutes or until they are lightly golden brown and crispy.

Step 2

While the crostini are still warm, please take one of the skinned garlic cloves and massage it gently over the toasted side of each slice. This will ingrain a subtle garlic flavour.

Step 3

On each crostini, layer a slice of tomato, fresh mozzarella, and a fresh basil leaf. Season with a bit of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.

Step 4

Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil over the assembled crostini. You can change the quantity to suit your needs. If desired, add a slight drizzle of balsamic ice for extra flavour.

Step 5

Arrange the Caprese Crostini on a platter and serve immediately while they are fresh and delicious. Enjoy these delightful Caprese Crostini as a tasty appetizer for your next gathering or a quick and satisfying snack!
