Bruschetta Toasts - Vegetarian

A traditional Italian appetizer, bruschetta toasts mix the flavors of fresh tomatoes, basil, and garlic between toasty slices of bread. An easy-to-make and mouthwatering dish that can be served at parties, as an appetizer, or as a light snack.

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, extra-virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Season the mixture with salt and black pepper to taste. To get a flavourful experience, Gently toss everything together. Set the bruschetta topping aside to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 2

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the sliced bread rounds on a baking sheet. If desired, rub the slices with a cut garlic clove to infuse the oil with garlic flavor. Alternatively, you can brush the slices with olive oil. Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes or until it turns golden and crisp.

Step 3

Once the toast rounds are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Arrange the toasted bread on a serving platter. Spoon the bruschetta topping generously onto each slice. Serve your Bruschetta Toasts immediately, and enjoy!
