Steps

Step 1

Set a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Then, pour in 1 tablespoon of the oil. Also, Add the beef and fry it until well browned. Then, dip it into a dish and repeat it with 1 tbsp oil and the pork. Then, you will tip the pork into the dish with the beef and make sure to put the pan containing the remaining oil back on the heat.

Step 2

Make the heat low and cook the shallots for around 8-10 minutes or until they become very soft. You can add the garlic. Then tip the meat back into the pan, adding the passata, purée, wine and oregano to add more flavour. You can stir everything together, cover and simmer over a low heat. Make sure to stir occasionally, for around 45 mins.

Step 3

Cook the spaghetti following pack instructions and stir half the parmesan into the Bolognese to add more flavour. Put a spoonful of the pasta water into the sauce to make sure it is loose if it is looking partially thick, then you can drain the spaghetti.

Step 4

Lastly, for a delicious flavour, you can tip the pasta onto the sauce, mix everything and season well (or serve with the sauce on top). Then you can add the remaining parmesan and a few basil leaves.
